Privacy Policy
legalData & Privacy at Radionet
Last updated: November 2025
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what kind of information is (and is not) collected when you use Radionet, and how third-party radio stations may handle data such as IP addresses and listener statistics.
In short: Radionet itself does not store your personal data on its own servers. However, the radio streams you listen to may be operated by third-party providers who collect and process data independently.
2. Data we do not collect
When you use Radionet, we do not:
- create user accounts or ask you to register,
- store personal profiles about you on the server,
- run our own server-side analytics or tracking scripts,
- log your listening history in a way that identifies you personally.
3. Local data on your device (favorites)
Radionet stores a small amount of data locally in your browser to improve your experience:
- Favorite / liked stations: When you "like" or favorite a station, this information is saved in your browser's local storage.
This information:
- stays on your device,
- is not transmitted to Radionet servers,
- can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data or local storage.
4. Third-party radio streams and IP addresses
Radionet acts as a directory and player for internet radio streams. When you press play on a station, your browser connects directly to the streaming server provided by the station or its hosting provider.
Those third parties may collect data such as:
- your IP address (required to deliver the stream to you),
- technical data (user agent, device type, etc.),
- listener counts, session durations, and usage statistics.
This processing is under the responsibility of the station operator and/or the streaming provider. Radionet does not control how these third parties handle data.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Radionet does not use its own tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers. The site relies on your browser's local storage to remember favorite stations.
6. Analytics
Radionet does not run its own server-side analytics system that profiles individual users. If we use any lightweight technical monitoring, this is limited to technical performance and is not used to track you personally.
7. Data security
While Radionet itself stores no personal profiles, we still aim to follow good security practices on the infrastructure side. However, no system is completely secure, and internet communication always carries some risk.
8. Children and minors
Radionet is not specifically directed at children. Some stations may contain content that is more suitable for adults. If you are a parent or guardian and are concerned about a particular station, please let us know.
9. Your choices
As a listener, you can:
- clear your browser's local storage to remove all Radionet favorites,
- stop using a particular station if you are not comfortable with its policies,
- use browser privacy tools (VPN, private mode, etc.) according to your needs.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of Radionet after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
